When you are broke, I mean literally broke, you don’t need to beg for money or food. What you need to do is to dress up nicely and crash some wedding parties. That is what I consider as survival tips to feed your fat.
If really in desperate need and have little money with you, even RM 5 can make you full for one meal. Let me show you how. I discovered this place along Jalan Pudu recently. Typical hawker stall by the roadside that managed to put their footprints on local newspaper.
Of course many will say RM 5 can get almost anything but what if I tell you that this stall serves very nice Tai Poh Mee? Probably, the stall serves one of the best Tai Poh Mee around for only RM 5 (Big), Medium RM 4.60 (Medium) and RM 4.20 (Small).
I am positive that many will confuse this type of noodles with wantan mee simply because it is also served with wan tan too. The Tai Poh noodle is slightly thicker as compare to wan tan noodle and the taste is a lot different than typical wantan mee.
What I like about this noodle? Of course is the the minced pork in soy sauces. Is it good? Hey, if this type of noodle is not impressive, do you think I will blog about it? Why not you give it a try and tell me how do you like it.
Once you try it, I bet many will say that the portion is slightly small for a big eater like me. Don’t fret, there is a famous Teochew Fishball stall here too. It was founded in 1952. Wow, older than me.
Please don’t complaint that you don’t have money as this is not expensive too. Only RM 4 for a single bowl with mixture of various types of meatballs, fishballs, fishcakes, dumplings etc or it will only costs about RM 4.50 for take away.
This photo is not photoshop. In fact almost all pictures in TikkoSS’s Blog are not photoshop too. So, what you see is exactly what I ate that day. Deliciously tempting? That is exactly how I feel when I have it.
Bring RM 10 with you and you can enjoy both Tai Poh Mee and Teochew Fishballs. Yes, that is all you need, only RM 10.
