TikkoSS’s Chicken Rice (Part 2: Siow Pai Chai with Oyster Sauce)

Part 2 is about the fiber part i.e. vegetable. For lazy people, you can replace this with cucumber.

 

Ingredients

600 g Siow Pai Chai (Separate it one by one and wash thoroughly)

5 cloves Garlic (Finely chopped)

2 tbsp Oyster sauce

½ tbsp Light soy sauce

½ tsp TikkoSS’s Secret Ingredient

 

Method

1. Heat wok with 2 tbsp of oil. Fry garlic until golden brown and fragrant. Set aside

2. Boil 1L of water. Add 1 tbsp of oil and 1 tsp of salt. When water is boiling, add siow pai chai and cook for 30 second

3. Remove siow pai chai and lay nicely on the plate

4. Add garlic (including oil) from (1), oyster sauce, light soy sauce and TikkoSS’s Secret Ingredient

5. Ready to be served

TikkoSS’s Chicken Rice (Part 1: Steamed Chicken)

TikkoSS’s Chicken Rice (Part 1: Steamed Chicken)

TikkoSS’s Chicken Rice consists of three different parts to ensure a balance diet for one meal.

Part 1 is about cooking the chicken and the gravy.

 

Ingredients

1 Whole chicken (weight about 900g to 1KG)

5 g Kei Chi

2 tbsp Salt (Marinate)

1 tbsp Salt (Flavoring at the end of cooking)

1 tsp Pepper

1 tsp TikkoSS’s Secret Ingredient

 

Gravy Ingredients

5 cloves Garlic (Finely chopped)

1 Onion (Finely chopped)

3 tbsp Light soy sauce

1 tsp Sugar

½ tsp TikkoSS’s Secret Ingredient

 

Method – Steaming Chicken

1. Wash thoroughly the whole chicken especially the chicken internal

2. Rub the chicken internal with salt, pepper and TikkoSS’s Secret Ingredient. Lastly, add kei chi into the chicken internal

3. Boil 2L of water in a wok for steaming the chicken. When the water is boiling, put the whole chicken on a plate in the wok and steam for 15 minutes over high fire.

4. After 15 minutes, take out the chicken and rub the remaining salt on the entire chicken

5. Cut the chicken into small pieces. Set aside.

 

Method – Cooking sauce & Serving

1. Heat wok with 2 tbsp of oil. Fry garlic until golden brown and fragrant. Set aside

2. Heat wok with 4 tbsp of oil. Fry onion until golden brown and slightly dry

3. Add light soy sauce, sugar and TikkoSS’s Secret Ingredient. Set aside

4. Add fried garlic from (1) onto the pieces of chicken, follow with the fried onion

5. Ready to be served

Fried Mushrooms with Onion

Fried Mushrooms with Onion

Ingredients

150 g White button mushrooms (Slices)

1 Onion (Slices)

1 tbsp Light soy sauce

1 ½ tsp TikkoSS’s Secret Ingredient

¼ tsp Pepper

1 tsp Sugar

 

Method

1. Heat wok with 2 tbsp of oil. Fry onion until golden brown and fragrant.

2. Add mushrooms and continue to fry mushroom until soft.

3. Add light soy sauce, TikkoSS’s Secret Ingredient, pepper and sugar.

4. Continue frying for 5 minutes.

5. Ready to be served.

Fish Ball Soup

Fish Ball Soup

Ingredients

10 Fish balls (Can be substituted with meat balls)

1 Tomato (Cut into 8 pieces)

4 cloves Garlic (Finely chopped)

10 g Ginger (Slices)

50 g Siao Pai Chai (Cut in approximately 40 cm in length)

1½ tsp Salt

1 tsp TikkoSS’s Secret Ingredient

 

Method

1. Heat pot with 2 tbsp of oil. Fry garlic and ginger until golden brown and fragrant.

2. Add tomato and continue frying for 5 minutes.

3. Add 2 L of water and simmer over slow fire for 30 minutes.

4. Add siao pai chai and fish balls. Continue cooking over slow fire for 10 – 15 minutes.

5. Add salt and TikkoSS’s Secret Ingredients. Ready to be served.

Baskin Robbins @ One Utama

The secret of melting every girl’s heart is by freezing it. Freezing to melt it? Oh yea… it might sounds a little strange, a bit like a contradiction but it works most of the time. I have to emphasize MOST OF THE TIME.

Girl is a very complicated creature. That is why in most of the cases, it MIGHT works. Commonly, they don’t even know what they want and leave us, boy.. BOY to guess it.

I am here not to give a stereotype view on this unique creature but to share my indulging moments with Baskin Robbins Ice-cream… yes yes, another type of stress reliever.

If you don’t know what I am talking about, it means you did not follow my blog. How sad! For those who read 3 Best Known Stress Relievers, thank you and it proves you have high standard for choosing the right blog to read.

As we know, chocolate and ice-cream are girls’ favorite confectionary. Who will disagree, right? The key to melt their heart is to pamper the small lady behind every girl’s neck. No matter how tough they are or how diamond (hard) is their heart, they will melt in no time.

Ok, enough of love counseling. Stop procrastinating and bring your love one to Baskin Robbins now as they are having promotions on every Wednesday, if and ONLY if you are wearing pink. Normally, I will say that I wear a pink underwear and they let me get away with it :P .

Well, unless your partner is willing to wear pink or you have to find any possible way to get the great deal. Agree? Beside Häagen-Dazs and Magnum, Baskin Robbins is also one of my favorite when I am not so broke.

Looks what I got for myself? Deliciously tempting isn’t it? Considering that I am currently far far away from my “soil water” (direct translation for “tanah air” in Malay which means home country), this photos is good enough to keeps my heart melt.

Topping with M&M (Never melt in my hand but always disappear in my mouth), it just makes this ice-cream a wonderful combination as stress reliever and women heart melter.

So, girls.. if you see guys at your age or older who are still single, you better don’t choose him because he don’t know any jack shit about what women want! BUT please don’t put me in the equation because i) I am young ii) I pretend I know what women want and iii) I am gay virtually!

3 Best Known Stress Relievers

Stress is a state of mental or emotional strain or suspense. I am not here to give an English lesson but to give you the solution instead. There are only 3 best known methods to mankind to release it.

SEX, ice-cream and chocolate. Oh yea.. you read the first one right but sadly, this is not a 18sx post! Am I going to write about ice cream? Neh, I hardly find Haagen-Dazs here so I will skip that too.

Let’s talk about guys famous gift, girls favorite confectionary and Belgium famous product … Chocolate & Chocolate and Chocolate! Life is like a box of chocolate? WRONG ! Chocolate is like a box of life! Oh yea..

For some reasons, what I claimed earlier is not accurate. Recently, I received a lot of chocolate as gift from girls, it is my favorite confectionary and the chocolate is not from Belgium. One that I particularly like is Maltesers to be exact!

Everyone likes Maltesers.. who don’t, right? What special about it is the honeycome or I called it golden hokey pokey. Melt in your mouth AND your hand! Lol.. It used to be my all time favorite chocolate until I decided to resist the addiction due to pillow buildup in my belly.

Once it melts in your mouth, the flavor and texture just reform a brand new beginning in your life. Forget about your worries, forget about your sorrow and more importantly, you will crave for more.

BUT if you are a guy and you send chocolate as a gift to a girl especially during valentine, man.. you are so predictable! Try not to impress girls with common chocolate (those like ferera rochie, catbury, swan etc) or they will label you as “just another loser”.

To some extent, some girls like predictable but not so predictable guy. Confuse isn’t it? That is exactly what girls want you to feel so that they can gauge your intelligent. If you get chocolate but not so common chocolate, I am sure you stand a great chance!

IF you are lucky, you might get double stress relievers too! Stress issues? Never a problem anymore!

Radish Soup

Radish Soup

Ingredients

1 Radish (Cut small – about 5 mm thick)

5 – 8 Red dates

200 g Pork ribs

2 tsp Salt

½ tsp TikkoSS’s Secret Ingredient

 

Method

1. Boil pork ribs in 2L of water. Drain and wash the ribs thoroughly.

2. Boil 3L of water. Add pork ribs, radish and red dates.

3. Boil everything for 10 minutes and continue the cooking over small fire for 3 hours. (Notes: Cooking duration depends on cooking method i.e. pressure cooker, normal pot or slow cooker).

4. Add salt and TikkoSS’s Secret Ingredient.

5. Ready to be served.

Ingredients

1 Brinjal (Slices – about 5 mm thick)

10 Lady finger (Slices)

10 French bean (Cut small – about 2 cm in length)

1 Chilli padi (Cut small)

4 cloves Garlic (Finely chopped)

1 stalk Spring onion (Cut small – about 2 cm in length)

 

Mixture A

1 tbsp Oyster sauce

1 tbsp Taucu

½ tbsp Light soy sauce

1 tsp Sugar

½ tsp TikkoSS’s Secret Ingredient

 

Method

1. Heat wok with 10 tbsp of oil. Fry garlic until golden brown and fragrant. Add chilly padi.

2. Fry brinjal, lady finger and French bean until soft over slow fire. (Notes: It may take a while to soften the vegetables, so be patience).

3. Add Mixture A. Continue stirring for 5 minutes.

4. Add spring onion and stir for another 5 minutes.

5. Ready to be served.

Ingredients

1 Broccoli (Cut small)

1 Carrot (Slices)

10 g Needle mushrooms

4 cloves Garlic (Finely chopped)

1 tbsp Cornflour (Well mixed the cornflour with 3 tbsp water)

 

Mixture A

2 tbsp Light soy sauce

1 tbsp Oyster sauce

½ tsp TikkoSS’s Secret Ingredient

 

Method

1. Boil broccoli and carrot in water for 5 mins. Set aside. (Notes: Duration of boiling depends on the softness required for the vegetables).

2. Heat wok with 2 tbsp of oil. Fry garlic until golden brown and fragrant.

3. Add broccoli and carrot. Fry for 10 minutes and add needle mushrooms.

4. Add mixture A and simmer for 3 minutes.

5. Add cornflour. Ready to be served.

TikkoSS’s Pasta

Ingredients

2 cups Fussili pasta

1 Onion (Slices)

1 Brinjal (Slices)

170 g Luncheon meat (Small cube)

1 tbsp Oil

1 tsp Salt

1 tbsp TikkoSS’s Secret Ingredient

10 tbsp Tomato sauce

5 tbsp Chilly sauce

 

Method:

1. Boil 2L of water. Add pasta, oil and salt. Cook the pasta for 10 mins. Set aside. (Notes: Cooking duration varies according to taste required)

2. Heat wok with 5tbsp of oil. Fry onion and brinjal until soft. Add TikkoSS’s Secret Ingredient.

3. Add luncheon meat and continue frying until luncheon meat turn golden brown.

4. Add pasta and stir for 5 mins. Add tomato and chilly sauces.

5. Continue stirring for 10 mins. Ready to be served.
