Lorong Selamat Ikan Bakar
Global warming is the culprit if cold place getting colder and hot place getting hotter. In hot and warm country like Malaysia, air condition is preferred or you will be soaked with sweat.
Any exception? Definitely! Lorong Selamat Ikan Bakar is one of it. A non air-conditioned hawker stall with big fan only. Try it during noon and you will know how many packets of tissue you need 
.
Sweat? Then why here? The freshly grilled fish is the main reason why I am here despite hot and warm. Ohh.. before I forget, the parking here is a big problem. I would suggest to travel by using Putra LRT and get down at Dato Keramat station.
There are varieties of grilled fishes here. Kembong (Mackerel), cencaru (Torpedo Scad), pari(Stingray), tetuka(Baby Stingray), terubuk (River Herring), siakap (Baramudi or Asian Seabass), kerapu (Grouper) and bawal (Pomfret) are the choices. The fishes are pre-marinated with turmeric and wrapped with banana leaves before grilling it.
Stingray is the only fish with cartilage and less bones so I decided to order it. I am like small kiddo right? Better be safe than get chocked later… hehe..
Most of the grilled fish are too dry and hard but this one, the meat is still soft and juicy. The marinated turmeric flavor together with the dip sauce makes me want to come back to this place again. Not to forget, the delicious chicken soup too.
How much do you think it will cost for a glass of pure fruit juice? I remember that I drank once in KLCC and it cost me about RM 10++. Not to mention it is a small glass and diluted. Over here, you only need to pay RM 5 for a big glass of pure mango drink.
Many asked me why I include empty plates in most of my food posts. No particular reason except to show that the food is really nice and I help the waitress to clean the plates
You might say that the price here is slightly expensive for hawker stall but I am willing to pay more if the quality of the food is above average. If you measure the portion, food quality and price, I am sure you will come again once you try it.
