Ayam Penyet @ KLCC
A lot of people ask me where I usually have my lunch? It is kind of difficult to explain because I can be adventurous sometime. Adventurous? My close friend will laugh when I said this. Usually I just follow a big crowd during normal working hours because I really have no clue where would be the best place.
On the other side, during offwork, I like to hunt for food. Sometimes, I can drive all the way to Penang to have my favourite laksa and muo chi or to Singapore to eat my favourite dumpling soup. Well, I am not driving any further this time but came across Ayam Penyet – AP in KLCC recently while doing my food hunting.
Don’t ask me what is AP stands for but I guess is Ayam Penyet
. This stall is located on second floor in Signature foodcourt. Why I chose to blog about this stall? What so special about Ayam Penyet? Well, my maid from Indonesia used to prepare Ayam Penyet for me and I just love it. So, I guess, Ayam Penyet here is also from Indonesia but who cares? As long as it taste good right?

Let me remind you that the que might be very long during normal lunch hours. The service here is very fast too. Despite a lot of customer, I normally wait for about 5 min to 10 min max. The set that I usually ordered is Ayam Penyet Set Lunch. They also served empel (beef) and a whole other long list.
The set comes with Ayam (of course .. duh), tempe, boiled long beans and vegetable with cucumber and tomatoes. What you need to becareful is the sambal. It tastes good but it is really really spicy. I need to particularly emphasize on this. As a chillies lover, my tolerance against chillies is considered better than average but I nearly cry when I first taste it.

Now come to the main highlight. The chicken to me is kind of dry but I guess this is how it should be. The crunchy thinggy (I have no clue what it is) taste really good. If can, ask for more … hehe… I normally ‘wet’ my rice with the soup because the soup fits my taste.
This set only cost about RM 8.80. I wouldn’t consider this as expensive considering that you are in KLCC and the average price in this foodcourt is about RM 8. So this is a perfect lunch set for me once in awhile. Lastly, remember when I said about the chillies earlier, please take extra precaution when you order this
