Samsung
Few months ago, my friend, Bob went to China. As many of you might know, China is very famous with “Made in China” products. Acknowledging the fact that the product might not be genuine, Bob was looking for an iPad or similar products.
He came across this shop that sells all sort of portable device such as Galaxy Tab, iPad, Smart Phones etc. He approached the salesman and asked, “Which one is better? iPad or Galaxy Tab?” The salesman replied in broken English, “ohh.. all oso not good laa.. iPad BIG, Galaxy Tab small. Both big money (he meant expensive)! You take this laa, Chinese iPad+Galaxy Tab. Cheap Cheap!”.
Bob enthusiastically said, “2 in 1? Any problem?” The salesman reassured, “NO NO. No problem. 2 in 1 good! China product GOOD!” After a series of negotiation, Bob decided to get the device at surprisingly cheaper price.
Bob is not a brand freak, so Bob said, “This is not genuine Apple logo. Can I have one that is without logo?” The salesman replied, “You can take the logo away yourself. EASY!” Bob felt puzzled for awhile and responded, “But it is printed on it! Why not you help me to remove?”
Without undue delay, the salesman took the device and rubs away the Apple logo with a handkerchief. “See it is easy! China products GOOD GOOD!” The salesman claimed.
Bob has no problem with that. Infact, he is very satisfied with the product and plays it day and night. One day, he noted that the screen was too bright, so he decided to set the screen to slightly dimmer. ALL of the sudden, the device turned into black screen and hang. Bob quickly reach the user manual.
According to the user manual, the device can be reset by pressing the hard reset button else the device is redundant. So, Bob decided to do hard reset on the device. Later he shouted, “DAMN, no reset button!”
