Stop ALL Forms of Abuse NOW!
How many of you dare to share your nightmare? How many of you have the courage to stand up and start a new life? Many of you heard about Abuse, printed everywhere on the newspaper but WHAT DO YOU DO ABOUT IT?
Recently, I was invited to the 100th International Women’s Day + theatrical play of Life Sdn. Bhd: Abuse. This event is held in conjunction with International Women’s Day on March 8. The whole purpose of this event is to send out a clear message to EVERYONE to stop all form of ABUSE!

To echo the message to all walks of life, many bloggers including well known Redmummy were invited too. Although nice foods were served prior to the real event, all bloggers were too busy mingling around in sorta “ice breaking” atmosphere while waiting for celebrity ambassador to officiate the event.

The event officially started when Kal Joffres, Yuen and Daphne presented their opening speech and signing the MANifesto. WE, the invited guesses were also queuing up to sign Women: 100 MANifesto as an action to support this event and share it via social networking, Facebook.

The team welcomes the audience with approx. 5 min video clips sharing the recent news and pictures of those unfortunate Abuse victims. The room turned into pin drop silence awaiting for all crews to take their position.

Child Abuse? It is not just in the form of Physical Abuse – Stop Child Abuse but it is also includes Sexual Abuse – Stop Child Abuse and Emotion/Psychological Abuse and Neglect – Stop Child Abuse. Many of the culprits managed to get away simply because all of us being ignorant?
Many of the victims no longer can live a normal life. They live in fear and the series of unfortunate events will be imprinted in their mind forever. We might say we know and understand their feelings on what they have been through but DO we really know?
I am deeply honored to experience the courage of the survivors who brave enough to stand up in room filled will full audiences and share their dark moments. This is the quality that is not easy to gain unless with the strong determination to stop the cycle of ABUSE.
True and sad stories about rape, abuse, child abuse, animal abuse, sexual discrimination etc were shared and I am touched and felt sorry about what they have been through. There is nothing much that we can do to change their past but WE can make a difference by stopping all these acts.

Personally, I enjoyed this play very much. It is not dull and gloomy at all. Besides sharing the true stories, the play involves live singing, dancing, acts and performances. Most feedbacks that I received from the audiences were commendably good.
Many feel connected with the victim and can feel straight from the bottom of their heart on what the victims been through AND determine to STOP ABUSE!

Shortly after the play, everyone is gathered right in front of the Actor Studio Lot 10 for lucky draw and continue signing the MANifesto. Honestly, I can see everyone felt impressed with play and wanting to speak to the crews immediately.
Before the event ends, all of us, bloggers tried to gather around for short photo shoot and of course, not to forget the photo shoot of the mini cupcakes that showing WOMEN 100.
Last message that I have for all readers: Share this with all your friends, family, colleagues, relatives etc. We might be small but together we can make a difference! Stop ABUSE!

Thanks for your support.. share it with all your friends too!
Hmm….are there anything about men sexual abuse..apparently that’s the most neglected abuse of all time compared to child n women abuse..not being sexists here but just saying facts..
i do think that it is a great idea to raise such awareness among people..but in my opinion…they got to do more than that…inviting so many popular bloggers to write is a good thing
I think many victims are women rather than men. However, I dont deny the fact that men do get sexual abuse too especially during their younger age. Nonetheless, many are unreported. I agree that neglect is one of the main abuse as many tend to take kids for granted.
The event not only invite bloggers but there was a press launch.. appreciate your honest opinion and certainly grateful that you can spend time reading and sharing this.. together we help to create better awareness so that ABUSE can be minimized if not stop..
it is a very meaningful post. keep spreading the awareness and we will be able to put a stop on abuse. Keep it up, TikkoSS
thanks alot alice..i will continue to spread this awareness.. thanks for ur support
