Most of the Chinese restaurant usually close during lunch time and only served dinner. This is because families usually have dinner together instead of lunch. Finding a restaurant is one thing and getting a descent one for all family members to fit in are also a big issue. The restaurant need to be able to manage many peoples at one time, having a big table with Lazy Susan (especially if you have a big family) etc.
We managed to locate Teck Wah Seafood Restaurant, just few shops away from Restoran Taman Batu @ Jalan Kuching. A section of this restaurant is equipped with air condition. With air condition, it just make this place a right place to bring your family during lunch time – to avoid sweaty lunch.
As I pointed in Restoran Taman Batu @ Jalan Kuching, most of the Chinese Restaurant have pictures of food/menu on the wall. This restaurant has no exception as well.
We ordered a lot of dishes today, simply because this is a family events. Start from ginger steam fish, Tong Po Stew Pork and green vegetables. These are just a few on top of many. I particularly like the Tong Po Stew Pork. Although it is a bit oily but the way this dish is cook are amazing. It is not only taste good but the texture of the pork is soft and tendery.
Like I said, we continue to order cheong jing fish, fried onion eggs, stew homemade tofu and green vegetables. This time, they ordered my favourite cheong jing fish. This dish tastes so good that it is comparable with most of the places that serves good cheong jing fish.
The homemade tofu is rather soft. The flavor of the sauce just nicely sip into tofu that makes the tofu soft and tasty.
That is not just yet. Final dishes that we ordered is 2 styles of chickens (steam and roasted chickens). I would say the roasted chicken is my favourites because of the crispy skin but the smooth texture on steam chicken make me harder to decide.
On and on, I am very satisfied with the service and food served in this restaurant. It matched with my standard and my family just enjoyed them. The restaurant gave us a complimentary set of fruits.
We only pay about RM 249 including drinks for 16 adults and 6 kids. You must be wondering how we fit into one table ? You just have to think about the sitting arrangement. My family will recommend this place in near future.
