Cheng Ho was born around 1371, explored the Indian Ocean and Western Pacific in the 15th century. About 639 years later, TikkoSS’s Blog discovered Cheng Ho Court Chinese Restaurant @ Mines Wellness Hotel. A bit slow but it is better late than never .
Nice restaurant with modern ‘chinese’ environment. Even the waitresses are wearing tradisional chinese sam fu (something like cheong sam). Table with Lazy Susan, just convenient for reaching your food on big round table. Romantic? I went there for lunch but I bet that place is just nice for a dinner with family.
Surprisingly, this chinese restaurant did not setup with chopsticks but fork and spoon instead. Err .. Wait a minute, we asked them to change to fork and spoon. hehe. Well, fork and spoon or chopsticks, it doesn’t matter. The serviette is nicely fold and exquisite.
We ordered some uncommon dishes. Although I am Chinese, but I never tried all those before. A claypot brinjal with mushroom, deep fried spicy beef, seafood noodles and the last dish is vegetable cakes with nuts. The sambal taste good too. Not too spicy and luscious (more importantly, it is free)
Although the portion is quite big for 4 of us, but we manage to wipe the food clean. The waitress was pretty happy because we shows the sign of good and delicious food.
I would say that this restaurant is a bit pricy but considering the good service, good food, good presentation and nice environment, I said it is worth it. Besides, we should compliment ourself once in a while. 4 of us spend about RM 120 including drinks and desserts (I forget to snap the bills because I am too full and lazy .. hehe)
